What information PriceBag handles and why.
Information we collect
Account: your name, email address and sign-in credentials submitted to Supabase Auth. Passwords are handled by the authentication service rather than stored in the PriceBag profile table.
Your activity: products you save, price alerts you set, and retailer links you open. For a link visit, the offer and time are recorded; your account is associated when you are signed in, while visits made signed out may be recorded without an account ID.
Messages: information you submit through Contact or Report an incorrect price, including your email if you provide it.
Retailers: store name, phone, website and store image, plus product and offer details such as prices and availability submitted through retailer features.
How we use it
To run your account, show your saved products, send price alert and account emails, review reports and applications, and keep the service secure.
Who handles it
The application uses Supabase for sign-in, database and image storage when the deployment is configured. The alert-email function sends messages through Resend when that function is deployed and scheduled; live deployment settings have not been verified. When you open a retailer's website, that retailer's own privacy policy applies.
Browser storage
Supabase Auth stores sign-in session information in browser local storage. If you allow Preference storage, the browser also stores your currency, comparison list and theme choices. Your consent choice is stored on this device for up to 180 days; you can change it using Privacy settings in the footer, or the portal control where the footer is not shown. See the Cookies Policy for details. These browser technologies are separate from account and activity records stored by the application.
Your choices
You can remove saved products and price alerts from your account. Account deletion is available in account settings when enabled; otherwise, contact us to ask about correcting or deleting your information.
